Berlin Philharmonic Brass Quintet consists of 5 brass players, Tamás Velenczei (Trumpet), Martin Kretzer (Trumpet), Klaus Wallendorf (Horn), Christhard Gossling (Trombone), and Paul Hümpel (Tuba). All of them are leading figures even among internationally renowned musicians of Berlin Philharmonic.
Berlin Philharmonic Brass Quintet performs with brilliant brass sound and superb technique which no one can follow, and aims to play music that is as rich as orchestra sound.
Their unique programs consist mostly of baroque (especially early baroque) and contemporary works. Of course they also play other masterpieces from classical to romantic works in their program. In addition, their repertoire includes works commissioned and arranged for the ensemble, and a number of interesting pieces are continuously performed in their concerts.
