シュトゥットガルト・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団

2024年100周年を迎えたシュトゥットガルト・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団は、1924年9月に創設され、第二次世界大戦前中の困難な時代を経て1976年にバーデン・ヴュルテンベルク州立のオーケストラとなった。その間、フェリックス・ワインガルトナー、ハンス・クナーパッツブッシュ、カール・シューリヒトやヘルマン・アーベントロートら巨匠の薫陶で実力を蓄えた。2015年-2024年にはダン・エッティンガー（2010年から東京フィルハーモニー交響楽団常任指揮者、2015年より桂冠指揮者）が首席指揮者 兼 州都シュトゥットガルトの音楽総監督、2007年からフェルツのもとマーラーの交響曲の録音を開始。2013年レスピーギのバレエ音楽「シバの女王ベルキス」は1932年にミラノ・スカラ座で初演されて以来の全曲演奏、世界初録音がBlu-rayおよびDVDでリリースされた。ダン・エッティンガーのもと2007年セルゲイ・ラフマニノフ財団から「ラフマニノフ賞」を授与された。2013年よりマルクス・ボッシュが芸術監督を務めるハイデンハイムのオペラ・フェスティバルの祝祭オーケストラを務めている。

The Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 1924 and has been “The Orchestra of the State Capital” of Baden-Württemberg since 1976. With this designation, the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra not only expresses its close ties to its sponsoring city, but also formulates its claim to reach the widest possible audience in its city with diverse and top-class programs. Over 120 events a year, including three classical subscription series with a total of 18 programs, children’s and family concerts, chamber music programs and several educational and experience formats make a significant contribution to the city’s cultural offerings.

With guest performances in the south-west of Germany, the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra radiates into the region and, as the festival orchestra of the Heidenheim Opera Festival and the Ludwigsburg-Stuttgart Beethoven Festival, also shapes the festival scene in Germany.

On national and international concert tours, the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra carries Stuttgart’s reputation as a city of culture out into the world as a musical ambassador. The orchestra performs on major stages such as the Gasteig in Munich, the Alte Oper Frankfurt, the Vienna Musikverein, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the KKL Lucerne. In 2024, they performed abroad in Italy (Milan and international festivals in Brescia and Bergamo), the Netherlands (Concertgebouw Amsterdam), France (Festival international de musique Besançon Franche-Comté) and China (Zhu Hai, Hang Zhou, Dong Guang and LianHuaShan Music Festival Shenzhen).

Under the direction of the last two chief conductors Gabriel Feltz (2004-2013) and Dan Ettinger (2015-2024), the Stuttgart Philharmonic experienced an impressive artistic upswing, which is documented by numerous recordings and continues with renowned guest conductors. Christian Lorenz has been Artistic Director of the Stuttgart Philharmonic since 2024.
